Kevin is from the Somerset Pennsylvania area and has been an Outdoorsman all of his life. After moving to Colorado from 1995 to 2005, he became actively involved with wildlife management in that state and began working with the Colorado Division of Wildlife through affiliate organizations. He balanced this work while furthering his studies practically and academically, doing project work and instructing for many of those years.

In the mountains the winds change direction quickly and can
give away your location in an instant. Quiet movement and wind in
your favor are the most important keys to scouting. When moving
in on game from a distance, I like to keep the animals in view as
much as possible. This alerts me to their movements and whether
they have been alluded to my presence and relocated. I have done
many quiet, time consuming stalks where the animal was not in
view, only to find them gone and half of my day with them.
