About the Author
Meet Doc Wild

Kevin is from the Somerset Pennsylvania area and has been an Outdoorsman all of his life. After moving to Colorado from 1995 to 2005, he became actively involved with wildlife management in that state and began working with the Colorado Division of Wildlife through affiliate organizations. He balanced this work while furthering his studies practically and academically, doing project work and instructing for many of those years.

Welcome to Doc Wild Outdoors
Thanks For Visiting!
To say I'm enthusiastic to get this website rolling would be an understatement at best. As we set this website at the top priority level, the finalization became clear and the excitement grew. I could ramble on about the sense of accomplishment and gratitude towards those who have worked with me to realize my own ambitions but, let's get you informed and, Thank You for your interest.

Twilight Landscape What can you find here?
My latest contribution to the outdoors comes in the form of my new book. The entire project is labeled "Decade" which is a compilation of my previous 10 years of writing. The actual process of publishing a book has been a very vivid eye-opener of the work involved as well as the amount of time consumed. We have developed an entire webpage to provide purchasing opportunites and some indepth information of the books contents. You can grab a "sneak peak" from the snippets found on every webpage here. For extended information see our Buy The Book page.

Another option offered is the booking of Seminars. During my studies and work with many outdoor agencies it became apparent that the resources I encrued would be of interest to many outdoorsmen and women. I began hosting seminars years ago and became a key-note speaker to some very receptive crowds which led to a further pursuance of leading seminars across the nation. My background in education and hands-on experiences complimented each other and this is where I draw my focus as well as current events. You can find a list of upcoming seminars and topics I cover by visiting our Seminars page. I look forward to possibly meeting some of you!

My Bio page is of course some of my background that covers previous work, current contributions, and personal experiences. For the most part my background revolves around big game animals with particular interest in Elk and Bears. If you're interested I welcome you to delve further and, if you have any questions, feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.

Ram Closeup In The Future
You will notice the photos found on the site all retain a copyright watermark. A large part of my background stems from photography. Within that realm I am drawn towards photographing wildlife. We are currently looking to expand the site by displaying more of my photos with a snippet of information on how the photo was taken. As the saying goes, "A picture is worth a thousand words" we will be bringing you these stories to portray a better sense of events.

Also in the works will be another book! I have diligently pursued numerous interviews with Bear Attack Victims in order to reveal similarities in each attack and identify those instances. The information obtained will be reviewed and formatted in a book format in an effort to prevent future attacks while in bear country.

We will also be looking at bringing further media options to our viewers on more of a broadcast level rather than the print avenue that we have pursued with book publishing. No definite dates have been set for any of these upcoming projects but we'll keep you informed via this webpage.

I again Thank You for visiting and appreciate your support.

Book Excerpts
Whether you are carrying a firearm or a camera into the high country with the intention of finding game in the late summer, you have come to the right place. These dog days of summer push wildlife into the higher elevations for a reprieve from the heat and parasites that make their existence miserable. To capitalize on this situation we must be willing to walk farther into the areas that see little penetration from humans.

To site a specific example, Elk will move into the high country as the snows retreat throughout the summer months. Bull elk especially like what the high country offers in the way of open spaces where trees do not exist.
